first snow

First a hurricane...then a nor'easter!

Last Wednesday, we had more wind and cold rain.

At night, that rain turned to snow!

We had fun watching it come down at night and Riley was excited to see it.

Thursday morning I took Riley outside for about an hour before the snow all melted away.

Later in the day we visited some friends of ours who live south of us and they never even got snow!

I was so happy I took her out when I did.

She had a lot of fun playing in the first snow this fall/winter!

We love snow!

Trick or Treat

Because of Hurricane Sandy...our Trick or Treat date got pushed back.

We just took Riley out for it this past Monday (Nov 5).

This was her first time Trick or Treating!

She was a tiger....

While we didn't get any photos of her while out, I can assure you she had so much fun!

We took her along with some friends of ours in their town.

The kids sat in a wagon while we went house to house.

Since, Aaron and I have been eating all of her candy...fun for her, fun for us.

Actually, it's not fun for us because we're gaining weight just looking at her candy.  ;)

Happy Halloween!

Jackson's Birthday

Aaron, Riley and I got to visit with my brother and his family the end of October.

We took a very quick two day trip to NH.

Jackson, our nephew, turned 2 years old while we were there!

The party was so much fun...the kids did lots of climbing and sliding.

sesame place

We took Riley to Sesame Place (in PA) this past weekend.

It was our first time!

We've had free tickets for awhile now and had to use them by year end.  We decided to take her now before it gets any colder out!

It turns out October is a fun month to go because they have "trick or treating" for the children.  Different stations set up throughout the park to get some goodies.  And kids can dress up for Halloween.

We tried dressing Riley up as a fairy but she didn't want to wear her wings, which I can't blame her.  They don't stay on well.  And her shoes kept falling off.  I'm so glad I packed her Crocs shoes with us.

Riley was not feeling well, either.  She started getting a cold the day prior.  She was kind of miserable to start but all in all she had a fun time.  For having a cold, she was a trooper!

Aaron and I are already planning to take her again next year.

We all had a really fun day together!
