Halloween 2013...bitter-sweet

This Halloween was special.

I'm not a big fan of Halloween...I'm just not.

I love candy, but not dressing up.

But I have to say this one I will always remember.

It was the first Halloween for Owen.

The first time Riley went trick-or-treating in our own neighborhood.

And the last day we shared as a family before Aaron left.

Aaron is now on a remote assignment for one year!

We miss him like crazy already.

Owen - 2 months!

A little late on this...but Owen is currently 2 months old!

Owen is "talking," staying awake longer, sleeping well at night, growing like a weed, getting stronger, and smiling!

We love you, bud.

Earlier this month we enjoyed a visit with Aaron's family.

His parents, sister and brother were able to come down for a quick trip to see us and meet Owen for the first time.

It was a lot of fun and we miss them already!

tonsils and adenoids and pain, oh my!

Riley had her tonsils and adenoids taken out this past Monday.

She's still recovering, but this next week should hopefully be the end of it.

Its been a bit rough this week and I'm even more tired than normal!

If I'm not up feeding Owen, I'm up with Riley in pain.

Our poor girl...

Even then, she's still all smiles for the camera and loves cuddling her baby brother!
