a new year?!

Wow, a new year already?!

I've hardly posted anything lately.  I'm sorry.

I looked over our Christmas pics and really didn't find many worth posting.

To post pics on here isn't easy because I have to re-size them first.

Anyway, we didn't take a lot to begin with.  And the ones we do have are boring - of the tree, us opening presents, and some are blurry and just not good.

So here are a few...just so you all know we did celebrate Christmas, just like you!

I love this one even if it's blurry.

Santa came!

Well, there ya have it.

Happy New Year!

christmas card pic

Hi guys!

I haven't blogged in awhile...sorry!

Life is busy.

So busy.

And what is keeping me busy you might ask...well, Riley.

She's a handful.  She really is.

I love her to pieces, but I'm always exhausted.

I don't even want to vent about the ways in which she exhausts me.  Because I do love her.  And because I am completely happy being a stay-at-home mom...it's just tiring.  That's all.

This is the hardest I've ever worked in my life.  And yet, there's no paycheck.  Nada.

I hate to say it but college and working full time seem like a vacation now...at least I'd have quiet...and space!  HA.

I'm dreading the day Riley no longer naps.  I really hope she's a freak child and naps up until she goes to school.  Please, Lord.  Please.

I'm learning that parenting is constantly draining.  Haha.  (I'm so negative, right?)  At least for me it is very draining.  It's just that I'm noticing we go through phases with our kids.  The baby phase was exhausting, naturally...but now even at 2 years old it is.  Whew.  And, I know I know...the teen years will be crazy too.

Today has just been a bad day - stress over money and stress over parenting.

Anyway, change of subject...Christmas is almost here!

You ready?!

We're getting there...done shopping, yeah!  Now it's finalizing wrapping and baking!

I wanted to share our Christmas card photo this year.  I'm not sure who out there reads my blog.  If any of you did not get our card and would like to in the future, please email me at abby.theateam@gmail.com and give me your address!  You won't get this year's card because I ran out and have no more money to buy more ;) but you'll get next year's...promise!

I hope to get some pics of Riley in her pretty dress in front of the Christmas tree soon.  So please stay posted!

Happy Holidays, all!

FYI - pic was taken in NH when visiting my brother's family...back in October!

Love,

Aaron and Riley, too.

first snow

First a hurricane...then a nor'easter!

Last Wednesday, we had more wind and cold rain.

At night, that rain turned to snow!

We had fun watching it come down at night and Riley was excited to see it.

Thursday morning I took Riley outside for about an hour before the snow all melted away.

Later in the day we visited some friends of ours who live south of us and they never even got snow!

I was so happy I took her out when I did.

She had a lot of fun playing in the first snow this fall/winter!

We love snow!

Trick or Treat

Because of Hurricane Sandy...our Trick or Treat date got pushed back.

We just took Riley out for it this past Monday (Nov 5).

This was her first time Trick or Treating!

She was a tiger....

While we didn't get any photos of her while out, I can assure you she had so much fun!

We took her along with some friends of ours in their town.

The kids sat in a wagon while we went house to house.

Since, Aaron and I have been eating all of her candy...fun for her, fun for us.

Actually, it's not fun for us because we're gaining weight just looking at her candy.  ;)

Happy Halloween!

Jackson's Birthday

Aaron, Riley and I got to visit with my brother and his family the end of October.

We took a very quick two day trip to NH.

Jackson, our nephew, turned 2 years old while we were there!

The party was so much fun...the kids did lots of climbing and sliding.
