little update on us

I don't write near as much as I used to when I first started this blog.  (Sorry!)

For all of you wondering what's new with us - here's just a quick update!

Owen:  He is walking!  This past week he started standing by himself in the middle of the floor to take off.  He's on his feet all the time now.  He's doing great!  Off of bottles and drinking regular milk.  Has a ton of teeth - too many to count, at least 12...  He's 13 months old!

Riley:  She's in Preschool!  Her teacher is very sweet and she's doing an "awesome" job I've been told.  She has homework sometimes, but not every day.  I hear all about her "friends" at school and the fun she has.  Usually the daily updates are about whether she went outside or not and what she ate for snack - you know, the important stuff.

Aaron:  He's working hard.  And he's coming home soon!!  One month left...

Me:  I'm stressed.  Ha.  No, it's not that bad.  I've been busy being mom to these lovely (crazy) kids and on top of that gearing up for our upcoming move!  Life is just busy these days, but you know the kids keep me grounded. 

We will be moving in about a month to FL.  I'll be sure to keep you all posted with the move.  In the meantime if you all can say some prayers, keep your fingers crossed and think happy thoughts for us - that'd be great.  We are doing the crazy thing of driving to FL as a family (when Aaron returns) and then looking for a place to live.  Lets hope it all comes together...and fast!

I'll be posting more pics of the kids before the move happens though...so keep checking back.

I couldn't help but remember the time Riley did it too!

This time the cabinet lock was on though, so Owen didn't have as much luck as Riley did.  ;)

This afternoon for lunch I took the kids to the playground and we had a picnic.

I didn't take any pics of Riley because she was busy playing with other kids!

Owen and I were just hanging out on the blanket at one point and I took a few pics...

Owen is making lots of steps these days!

The last week or two (I can't really remember) he's taken one or two steps only.

He's been doing that for awhile.

I felt like today he was trying harder so I grabbed the camera and caught him taking more steps!

P.S.  This boy always has his blanket!  He loves putting it in his mouth...ha.

Riley's 1st day of school

Riley had her very first day of school today!

She's in preschool!

I felt rushed out the door this morning (we still have to get used to this new routine).

I did manage to get a couple of pictures before taking her to school.

I should've taken a picture of her backpack...I will try to remember tomorrow.  It's cute.  She picked it out and it's a....princess one!  Of course.

We had a great first day.  Riley's teacher said she did awesome - listened very well!

(So...it must just be Mommy we don't listen to, huh Riley?)  ;)

Happy 1st day, Riley!  You are such a big girl...we love you!
