Dear Riley,

You are such an awesome big sister!

You've really adjusted well to having a baby brother around.

Especially a baby brother who is so needy and takes a lot of attention!

You have been pretty patient (for a three year old) and so loving.

Sure, we've had our moments - like whining and acting out but mostly because you are tired or bored, and not because you aren't happy. 

(Heck, the last couple of weeks we've all had moments of being tired and cranky!)

You love showing off your baby brother to anyone who visits.

You hug and kiss him a lot!

You love helping Mommy and Daddy with Owen.

Every time we change Owen's diaper you ask "did he pee or poop?" and have to stand right near us to find out!  Ha.

I know this is just the beginning of your new life with a brother.

You'll have good days and bad - as all of us siblings have.

So far, you've been wonderful and we're very proud of you.

Owen is one lucky brother!

Tomorrow I will be 39 weeks!

 

I'm huge right now - just huge.

 

I feel it in every way. 

 

Fifty pounds gained.  There, I said it.

 

I'm SO ready to have this baby.

 

Do you think he'll be big?

 

I think so.

 

But, not necessarily...

 

I gained 50 lbs with Riley too and she was just shy of 7 lbs.

wildwood

Aaron and I took Emillie and Hannah to the shore earlier this month - to Wildwood.

We wanted to do something special to celebrate Emillie's 16th birthday.
(Yes, she's now officially 16 years old!)

With Aaron leaving for a year (coming up soon) and us moving late next year when he returns, we knew we had to get out and do something fun with the girls now.

My parents had Riley for the two days we were there and it was nice just being able to focus on Emillie and Hannah.  I know that they enjoyed themselves too!

We had fun walking on the boardwalk, playing games and going on rides, eating pizza and ice cream, buying salt water taffy and fudge, shopping, laying out in the sun and playing in the ocean...and enjoying a relaxing dolphin cruise one night for dinner!

Our pictures really revolved around the dolphin cruise...here are some pics!
